What makes a strong pitch

Send a focused idea with a working title, the central question, the reader it would help and a short explanation of what the piece adds. A useful pitch has a distinct angle, can be supported with appropriate sources and separates evidence from opinion. We especially welcome explanations, comparisons and cultural context that do not require unsafe experimentation or professional advice.

Original work and care

Contributions should be original, carefully checked and written in plain English. Please disclose relevant product, brand or financial connections, and do not submit material that makes unsupported health or performance claims. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.

How to send a proposal

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a brief outline and any relevant experience or links to published work if you have them; do not include confidential information or send a complete article unless requested.
